Start Flowchart Shape
To read a flowchart, you follow the arrows from shape to shape. To draw a line in RFFlow, click on the line in the stencil at the left and then drag the mouse to draw the line in your chart. It is faster to place all your shapes first and then draw all the lines at once.

This structure is called a decision, "If Then.. Else" or a conditional. A question is asked in the decision shape. Depending on the answer the control follows either of two paths. In the chart above, if the temperature is going to be less than freezing (32 degrees Fahrenheit) the tomatoes should be covered. Most RFFlow stencils include the words "Yes" and "No" so you can  drag them onto your chart. "True" and "False" are also included in most of the flowcharting stencils.

The above chart is a rough description of a retail store checkout process. The level of detail to use in a chart depends on the intended use of the chart. You may need a very detailed chart if you are trying to optimize each step in a process. Sometimes you may want to draw a general chart and do separate charts for each step. RFFlow allows you to create hyperlinks so you can click on a shape and jump to another chart.

Left-click on a line or curve to display the handles. Drag the handles to change the length or direction of a line or curve.Size a ShapeLeft-click on a shape to display the handles. Drag the handles to change the size of a shape. Press SHIFT while sizing to size asymmetrically. Drag the rotation handle to rotate a shape.
