We have used Surfer, Strater, Grapher and Voxler for several years. These products are perfect for the small independent looking for quality products that save money but provide top quality data analysis. They are great for making presentations and detail modeling of large datasets. The options for providing excellent visuals to help interpret data is extremely helpful to understanding petroleum reservoirs, interpret environments of deposition and structural changes.
Surfer appears to have been designed by people who really understand what scientists like myself want to do. This allows me to look at data and ask questions without being concerned at the technicalities of how to load, manipulate and map data.
