MULTILEV
MULTILEV拟合简单随机和复杂调查设计中的多级线性和非线性模型到多级数据。它允许具有连续和明确的响应变量的模型。
In practice, many multivariate data sets are observations from several groups. Examples of these groups are genders, languages, political parties, countries, faculties, colleges, schools, etc.
LISREL may be used to fit multiple group structural equation models to multiple group data. Traditional statistical methods such as Maximum Likelihood (ML), Robust Maximum Likelihood (RML), Weighted Least Squares (WLS), Diagonally Weighted Least Squares (DWLS), Generalized Least Squares (GLS) and Un-weighted Least Squares (ULS) are available for complete multiple group data while the Full Information Maximum Likelihood (FIML) method is available for incomplete multiple group data.
In previous versions of LISREL, the user was required to create separate data files for each group. Suppose that the groups to be analyzed consisted of data collected in eight countries, the implication is that eight datasets must to be created in order to fit a multiple group structural equation model.

Group denotes the type of respondent (1 for weightlifter; 2 for student and 3 for marathon
athlete).
• Age denotes the age of the respondent in years.
• Len denotes the height of the respondent in cm.
• Mass denotes the weight of the respondent in kg.
• %Fat denotes the percentage fat of the respondent.
• Strength denotes the breast strength of the respondent in lb.
• Trigl denotes the triglycerides of the respondent.
• Cholest denotes the total cholesterol level of the respondent.
• The specific data set is provided as FITCHOL.LSF in the TUTORIAL folder.

Assessing invariance
The invariance of a model is often of interest if the sample data consist of data from different groups such as
males and females, different political parties, freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors, etc. In this section,
we illustrate how LISREL can be used to assess various levels of invariance across groups

Click on the Next push button to load the Group Names dialog box. Click on the Next push button to
load the Labels dialog box. Click on the Add/Read Variables push button to load the Add/Read
Variables dialog box.
Select the LISREL System File option in the Read from file: dropdown list box. Click on the Browse
push button to load the Browse dialog box. Select the file MGGIRLS_IMPUTED.LSF. Click on the
OK push button to return to the Labels dialog box.
Click on the Add Latent Variables push button to load the Add Variables dialog box. Enter the label
Visual for visual perception in the string field and click on the OK push button to return to the Labels
dialog box. Repeat this to enter the label Verbal for verbal ability in the string field. Click on the OK
push button to produce the following Labels dialog box.
