Right-click on a shape or line and choose Properties. You can change the color, width, and style of a shape's lines and change the color and style of the interior fill. You can select gradient fills and hatched patterns for shapes. With each color you can select an alpha transparency that allows the background to show through a shape. Line and curves drawn in RFFlow are antialised giving them a smooth appearance. You can also size or rotate a shape, add a shadow to a shape, add a shape number, make a shape a header or footer, link a shape to a file, assign a shape to a layer, set a stacking order, or change a shape to another shape. These operations can also be performed on a group of selected shapes.

Each flowchart must have one starting point. It can have multiple ending points, but only one starting point. The same terminal shape is used for the start and end. The terminal shape is a rectangle that is semicircular on the left and right as shown above. You can use other words instead of start and end, like begin and finish, or any words with a similar meaning. Some companies use an oval instead of a terminal shape. The bottom line is that it should be clear to the person looking at the chart where the chart starts and where it ends.

It is good to have a title on your chart.  click on the word "Text" in the stencil and use a larger font size.Putting it all togetherThe chart shown below could be part of the 2006 Federal Income Tax return instructions. You start at the top and follow the arrows from shape to shape. Flowcharts usually go from top to bottom or left to right, but you can do whatever you want. The circle with the letter B refers to a chart on a different page. You would find that page and look for a B in a circle. Almost all flowchart can be done with only these four shapes.
